Why is it so many people feel the need to change themselves or try to change others to make the other people in their life happy. Why can't anyone ever be happy with who they are or who they are with. It seems everywhere I turn nowadays I see so many people breaking their necks to fit in, and be loved, and well liked. Noone should ever try and change someone else into their idea of perfection. I was once one of those people who felt I need to act a certain way, dress a certain way, to win approval of others. I actually did need to change somethings about my personality and I have done that and now I can honestly say I am happy with the person I am now. I use to be overly emotinal and had a little girl peronality when it came to relationships and other aspects of my life but I relized that all I needed was to take a very wise persons advice (you know who you are) and get some serious help. I took his advice and relized that I was suffering from a very serious mental disorder (bipolar) I now have to be on medication most likely for the rest of my life but it is a small inconvience that I am willing to do so I don't drive everyone around me insane. I use to look in the mirror and see nothing but a weak ugly little girl that would bring nothing but misery to anyone that she tried to have in her life now I can look in the mirror and see beautiful strong woman who knows she can make the people in her life happy. I am not conceited in anyway. I am just sick of the years of pain and hurt I went through when I was growing up running my life, I am sick of my emotions ruling me instead of me ruling my emotions. I know I have changed for the better. I changed for myself not because anyone else tried to but because I knew I needed to. So if you are happy with the person you are then stay just the way you are, be proud of yourself and be strong. " Nobody has the right to make you feel inferior unless you give them permission.
